The new Multi-Prep® 24 Extraction Workstation is designed to be used manually or with an automated robotic system.

The Extraction Workstation is configured to microtiter plate dimensions. The small footprint is especially welcome in laboratories with limited benchspace.

The Workstation consists of a vacuum/waste removal chamber, a 24 place column mounting plate and a 24 place elution block. The elution block is designed to be heated during sample evaporation and/or for sample reactions such as derivatization or hydrolysis.

Placement of the column mounting plate onto the vacuum/waste removal chamber. Waste from this chamber is collected by gravity flow into a waste container(s) for disposal. The use of a manual or a programmable low voltage electronic switching valve enables the separation of hazardous or non-hazardous waste. The outlet is switched to the closed position during the vacuum drying step required by most extraction methods prior to sample elution.

Transfer of the column mounting plate onto the elution block in preparation for gravity flow elution.
